Design Manager | Humberside
Elevation’s Design & Projects team are working with a market-leading manufacturer to recruit a Design Manager to lead a site-based engineering team.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical authority with team oversight—ideal for a senior design professional ready to step up or an existing manager looking for more influence across engineering and manufacturing.
The role:
* Lead and coordinate a mechanical & structural design team
* Own technical delivery, approvals, and design sign-off
* Drive improvements across manufacturing, automation, and design processes
* Work cross-functionally with production, quality, and international teams
* Play a key role in product development and continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
* Strong background in mechanical / structural design within manufacturing
* Advanced 3D CAD experience (parametric/configuration tools ideal)
* Experience with BOMs, ERP systems, and engineering change
* Previous leadership or senior-level design experience
* Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong stakeholder skills
