Position
Device Repairs Engineer
Salary: £27,000 per annum

Responsibilities
* Diagnose incoming laptops for defects and damage and log appropriately.
* Install a Windows operating system.
* Maintain equipment, perform specialist repairs, modifications and upgrades, and implement software/hardware enhancements within own capabilities.
* Distinguish between hardware problems and accidental damage.
* Provide neat repairs, clean devices, and ensure proper sealing. Training will be provided.
* Check work, update tickets with diagnostic results, and allocate ESD locations to repairs as part of the quality assurance process.
* Provide basic level of technical support to end users on first line if needed.
* Update tickets with relevant Easy4u status in line with repair diagnosis.
* Use customer‑service skills to deal with individuals and resolve issues in a timely manner.
* Communicate effectively in written English.
* Work with the Easy4u Service Platform and Helpdesk System to record items and keep customers informed of repair progress.
* Strive for quality over quantity.
Qualifications
* Experience in the IT field desired.
* Background in repairing or building hardware.
* Can‑do attitude focused on delivering excellent customer service.
* Self‑starter with ideas to enhance service quality.
* Ability to work flexibly and meet customer demands.
* Successful applicants must provide an enhanced DBS disclosure; the expense will be covered by CTS.
