One of our key clients, a global leader in EV charging technology, is looking to add a Technical Support Engineer to their UK team. Role – Technical Support Engineer (EV Charging)
Salary – £36.5k–£40k + Benefits + Career Growth
Location – Coventry HQ (Hybrid – mix of onsite, remote & travel)
Working Hours – Monday – Friday, 9am–5pm (flexible hybrid working)
Travel – Occasional trips across the UK & Europe
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshoot issues across EV chargers – hardware, software, comms, and power electronics
* Use Linux-based tools and diagnostics to identify root causes
* Analyse power flow, converters, and electrical systems to resolve faults
* Support client integration and provide clear technical guidance
* Work closely with R&D teams on bug fixes, testing, and product improvements
* Create technical documentation and improve support processes
* Hands-on work in the Coventry lab, plus occasional travel across the UK & EU
Qualifications
* Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
* Valid UK driving licence
Key Skills & Experience
* 2–3 years in technical support, field engineering, or systems troubleshooting
* Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and debugging tools
* Good understanding of power electronics, converters, and current flow
* Familiarity (or willingness to learn) OCPP and communication protocols
* Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills – able to explain technical issues clearly
* Experience in B2B support or customer-facing engineering (advantage)
