Are you an English Teacher committed to improving the lives of pupils and young people? As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced English Teacher to join our fantastic team at Norton College in Worcester.
To provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with company policies, procedures, practices, and the standards set by the regulatory body. To work with the Head Teacher, leadership team, and other stakeholders to secure high standards throughout the school.
Main Purpose:
1. To teach the English curriculum throughout KS3 and KS4.
2. To support students in achieving Functional Skills and/or GCSE English qualifications.
3. Ensure that the curriculum offer meets the needs of individual students, taking into account their interests and preferences.
4. Work closely with key students or groups of students, as identified by the Senior Leadership Team or the Head of Pastoral Support, to develop their interests and positive engagement in education, social activities, and peer interactions.
5. Support students with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, including Autism, to access and succeed in education across academic, vocational, and recreational activities.
6. Make effective use of the data system to support behaviour management and maintain relevant databases.
Qualifications and Experience:
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
* Degree in Education or related field
* Experience working with SEN and SEMH students
* Understanding of trauma-informed approaches
