Job Title: Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Liverpool or Manchester (North West)
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 basic salary + additional benefits package

The Role
Seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support high-value projects across mixed-use, retail, industrial, and large-scale remediation sectors. You’ll lead cost planning, tendering, and post-contract services, working closely with clients and design teams. Main duties include:
•Deliver full pre- and post-contract cost consultancy across a diverse portfolio
•Prepare feasibility studies, cost plans, procurement strategies, and tender documentation
•Lead valuations, cost reporting, and change control throughout the project lifecycle
•Provide strategic cost advice in client and design team meetings
•Contribute to benchmarking, value engineering, and risk management
•Assess abnormal site conditions and advise on cost impacts
•Support business development and nurture client relationships
•Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to team development
•Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and professional standards
What we’re looking for:
•Degree/MSc in Quantity Surveying
•MRICS (preferred) or working towards chartership
•Strong experience in commercial property sectors
•Excellent communication and stakeholder management
