Junior L3 Support Analyst
Location: Newcastle (on‑site presence required)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major technology programme supporting critical services. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the stability of live applications, working alongside experienced engineers while developing your skills across cloud, DevOps and enterprise support.
This role is ideal for someone early in their tech career who is eager to build strong operational, analytical, and engineering capabilities in a structured and supportive environment.
We’ll help you upskill and grow so you can progress into a fully capable L3 engineer over time.
What You’ll Be Doing
Operational Support & Incident Management
* Support senior L3 engineers with incident and problem investigations across multiple applications.
* Assist with resolving application and integration issues, escalating when necessary.
* Help safeguard the stability of live services and learn how to prioritise work based on impact and SLAs.
Application Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
* Contribute to maintenance tasks and small-scale enhancements under guidance.
* Support continuous service improvement initiatives, including performance, automation, and reliability improvements.
* Assist in the testing and development of minor fixes or optimisations.
Technical Collaboration & Governance
* Work within a blended UK/India support model following structured DevOps processes.
* Follow engineering standards for deployments, source control, and secure operations.
* Take part in service reviews, incident calls, and sprint ceremonies.
* Support governance activities through reporting, data analysis, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills
* Basic understanding of Microsoft/Azure application services.
* Introductory knowledge of Java & .NET/C# with willingness to learn.
* Awareness of DevOps concepts (deployments, version control).
* Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
Desirable Skills
* Exposure to ITIL processes.
* Experience supporting applications in an enterprise or secure environment.
* Understanding of integration platforms.
Soft Skills
* Clear and confident communication.
* Ability to stay calm and organised during active incident response.
* Curiosity and drive to develop deeper technical expertise.
* Comfortable working both independently and within a global team structure.
