About the Role
As an Examination Invigilator, you will help ensure that examinations are conducted according to the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and school procedures. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of exam materials, supporting students in a calm and professional manner, and assisting the Examinations Officer with the efficient administration of the examination process.
Main Responsibilities
1. Conduct exams in accordance with JCQ, awarding body and School regulations.
2. Maintain the security and confidentiality of exam papers and materials.
3. Prepare exam rooms and admit candidates under formal exam conditions.
4. Supervise candidates during exams, ensuring regulations are followed at all times.
5. Record incidents and report any irregularities.
6. Collect and secure completed exam scripts.
7. Provide support such as acting as a reader or scribe for candidates (training provided).

The ideal candidate will:
8. Be reliable, flexible and available during main exam periods.
9. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
11. Have a calm and confident presence in exam rooms.
12. Be able to follow instructions precisely and manage groups of students effectively.
13. Possess basic IT skills (email, mobile messaging, etc.).
Previous experience in invigilation is not required, as full training will be provided.
Additional Information
14. All invigilators must confirm their availability in advance of main exam periods.
15. Invigilators are required to adhere to strict confidentiality and data security guidelines.
