We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Contracting team, playing a pivotal role in delivering excellence within the SWTRA framework. Responsibilities
* Take ownership of multiple projects from initiation through to completion
* Apply high standards of engineering and project management
* Lead by example, managing key projects directly
* Support regional surfacing and highways operations when required
H&S, Quality, and Environmental and Sustainability
* Operate to the highest standards of H&S in line with Heidelberg Materials H&S plan and objectives.
* Lead the management of the H&S of Heidelberg Materials Contracting (HMC) employees and supply chain on site.
* Ensure processes and policies are rigorously followed and Safe Systems of Work, Method Statements and Risk Assessments comply with Contracting's Integrated Management System.
* Ensure a "Right First Time Every Time" approach is followed, delivering defect-free schemes upon completion.
* Ensure effective and efficient resource planning of materials, plant and skilled operatives to achieve highest quality contract delivery.
* Program schemes to maximise financial return for HMC, whilst minimising risks and maintaining the quality of the works.
* Ensure robust processes and procedures are understood and followed on the project, allowing full compliance with all regulations (e.g. waste transfer movements) and elimination/avoidance of environmental incidents.
Client Liaison and Management
* Manage effective and timely communication channels with clients to ensure agreed contract programmes are adhered to.
* Actively engage and collaborate with the client organisation and their agents to maximise contractual workshare and enhance financial return.
Finance
* Ensure operational management understands the commercial objectives and limitations of the project.
* Ensure cost and programme control to maximise Contracting's financial returns.
* Ensure robust site records are maintained to allow the QS team to maximise financial returns.
Qualifications
* Ideally educated to degree level
* Ideally hold (or be working towards) a project management qualification
* Nebosh or other equivalent H&S qualification (or working towards)
