Commercial and Pricing Strategy Manager (Fixed Term Maternity Cover)

Overview
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will develop and implement pricing strategies across trading terms, quotation management, and rebates to drive profitable growth and secure competitive market positioning. You will lead a Commercial Analyst and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and other cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive a proactive culture of health & safety across all business activities.
* Develop and implement pricing strategies that drive profitable growth.
* Maintain a comprehensive framework for managing customer terms.
* Collaborate with sales and portfolio teams to develop competitive pricing proposals that align with customer requirements and company strategy.
* Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
* Analyse pricing data to identify opportunities and risks.
* Work with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing models that align with business objectives.
* Lead pricing reviews and recommend pricing adjustments.
* Collaborate with finance to ensure pricing models are financially sound.
* Develop and maintain pricing policies and procedures.
* Lead, coach and manage a commercial analyst.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience working with cross‑functional teams.
* IT literacy.
* Experience in pricing strategy and simplification.
* Ability to work in a fast‑moving sales environment.
* High commercial acumen and excellent communication skills.
* Strong problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to deliver under pressure or in uncertain environments.
* Ability to build strong relationships.
* Business process & systems knowledge (e.g. SAP / C4C, S&OP).
* Experience in change management & commercial excellence.
