We are working with a client in the financial sector based in Manchester that is seeking an experienced Contract PHP Developer to support the development and optimisation of both internal systems and customer-facing web platforms.
Responsibilities:
* Lead development and refactoring of the company's main website to align with modern standards and best practices
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
* Enhance and extend the customer dashboard, improving usability, performance, and data presentation
* Integrate third-party APIs to streamline workflows and support new financial services functionality
* Work closely with designers and front-end developers to ensure seamless UI/UX integration
* Contribute to code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and security across all deliverables
Requirements:
* Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
* Comfortable working in fast-paced, regulated environments
* Previous experience in the financial services sector is highly desirable
