Deputy Site Superintendent Radiographer

This position is for a Deputy Site Superintendent Radiographer based at University Hospital Llandough. Dependent on service requirement, there may be the need to rotate to other sites within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the organisation, planning and management of thedelivery of a comprehensive and effective General Radiography andFluoroscopy service within the Radiology, Medical Physics and ClinicalEngineering Directorate.-To maintain a clinical lead role-To be responsible for the management of the general staff, their personaldevelopment, appraisal and discipline.-To provide professional support for Radiology and other staff and contributetowards the development of plans to improve patient care within currentprofessional and legal standards, national and local policies.-To co-ordinate cross site working.-To contribute to the University Health Board's Service Development plansand actively participate in CPD, audit and departmental research activities.

Qualifications
* DCR BSc Radiography qualifications Post graduate qualifications MSc or equivalent HPC registration. Evidence of Managerial Development
* Post Graduate qualification(s) and formal specialist training in related imaging fields
Essential / Desirable
* Experience Exposure to a wide range of imaging systems and processes Previous Organisational Experience Previous management experience In depth experience in the health care environment Experience at senior level in relevant speciality
* Special Knowledge Advanced clinical knowledge of current trends and practices in relevant speciality Knowledge of radiological anatomy specific to relevant modality
* Personal Qualities; Leadership skills; Team worker; Caring; Empathetic; Good communicator; Good decision maker; Ability to delegate; Ability to work under pressure; Mature social skills.
* EXPERIENCE Experience of working in a leadership role; Research and development experience. Understanding of local and national policies and procedures.. Formal qualifications relating to management
