Job Title: Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller
Salary: £55,000 to £78,000 (dependent on experience)
Type: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours/week)

Our client is seeking a Principal Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to lead delivery teams on a range of wastewater projects. The role combines technical leadership, stakeholder management, and innovation to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams.
* Liaise with stakeholders and prepare reports, specifications, datasheets, and technical content for contracts.
* Approve designs and ensure adherence to technical governance and QA standards.
* Manage project finances to ensure delivery within budget.
* Resolve complex design issues and challenge company standards to promote continuous improvement.
* Research industry best practice and promote digital design innovation.
* Collaborate with supply chains and delivery partners to drive efficiency.
* Line manage, coach, and mentor junior engineers, ensuring staff engagement and development.
What Our Client is Looking For
* MEng, BEng, BSc, or HNC in Engineering, Environmental, or numerate science‑related subject.
* Chartered Engineer with a relevant Engineering/Scientific Institution.
* Proven experience delivering wastewater hydraulic modelling projects within the UK Water Industry.
* Strong understanding of wastewater engineering theory, hydraulic modelling, and solution development.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Full driving licence and competency in MS Office and relevant IT design tools.
* Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and team collaboration skills.
