Senior Engineer (Mechanical) – SYSTRA UK & Ireland

Context
We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP engineering team. This position will suit a committed and ambitious engineer who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play a part in a dynamic high‑performance team.
The Mechanical Engineer will work with a team of engineers producing the design delivery of allocated MEP Projects as instructed by the projects Lead MEP Engineer.
Missions / Main Duties
* Produce MEP designs as instructed by the projects Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer.
* Ensure designs meet CRE/Lead Engineer requirements.
* Meet the agreed timescales for design work.
* Plan the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales.
* Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise them with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
Essential Requirements
* Flexibility in working hours to meet the demands of the role.
* Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices.
* Knowledge of mechanical services design within the built environment or transport infrastructure including HVAC, Public Health, Building Physics and BIM.
* Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E and building services.
* Knowledge of construction principles and standards.
* Experience of BIM.
* Experience in the use of Hevacomp and/or Thermal Modelling Design Software.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* A self‑motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
Desirable
* Ability to undertake overseas assignments where required.
* Qualified to HNC or equivalent.
* Good understanding of CSM/CDM regulations and requirements (internal training will be provided).
