COMPANY DESCRIPTION AND ROLE CONTEXT

ASR Group’s companies have more than 150 years of experience taking sugar cane from field to table. Our expertise in every aspect of the cane sugar process is without equal. We are the largest vertically integrated cane sugar refiner in the world. Our nine refineries are found in five countries across the globe. Our brands are leaders in their respective markets, including Tate & Lyle and Lyle’s Golden Syrup in the UK and Sidul in Portugal.

ROLE / SCOPE

1. The successful candidate will join our Operational and Supply Chain Finance team, with responsibility for business partnering with the relevant areas of our UK-based production and distribution sites.
2. Focus on month ends for Inventory & Supply Chain
3. Business partnering on value driving project/capital investments.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

4. Own specific month-end and periodic closing tasks within the Finance team, with responsibility for overseeing and controlling a multi-million-euro cost base, focused on inventory and supply chain
5. Provide month-end, quarterly and annual commentary and analysis on operational performance.
6. Manage one direct report. Mentor and develop other junior members of the team on a day-to-day basis.
7. Maintain and strengthen controls and procedures.
8. Project manage development and approval of business cases for Capital Investments (CAPEX)
9. Maintain and develop the budget/forecast models within the company’s business planning platform. This will involve completing the necessary model-building training.
10. Support the annual budgeting process with the overall objective of delivering a robust and accurate budget which has been signed off by all relevant stakeholders.
11. To deal with queries from our external auditors.
12. As development progresses and business knowledge grows, lead performance improvement projects, focused on reducing/eliminating operational/cost inefficiencies
13. Influence Stakeholders and present information clearly and concisely to C-Suite level Executives
14. Manage and promote use of reporting tools (e.g. Anaplan, Power BI) and proactively drive improvements to ensure they continue to provide relevant business information

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

15. Strong SAP (or similar) / Excel / Power BI skills
16. To be intellectually curious and to have a continuous improvement mindset to own and fix issues identified
17. To be highly analytical and have an ability to draw insight from large data sets
18. To be an excellent communicator, able to engage and influence stakeholders
19. To be organized and capable of managing multiple activities simultaneously

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

20. Bachelor’s degree
21. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with post qualified experience
22. Demonstratable experience of using SAP or an equivalent system
23. Demonstrable experience of Supply Change / Inventory Management in Food Manufacturing; Fast Moving Consumer Goods; or Commodities
