Job Title: Food Retail Manager
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Chef/ Food Retail Manager for our thriving sushi kiosk business. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of culinary experience, with a strong background in food preparation and a proven track record of leadership in a fast-paced food service environment. Sushi Knowledge/experience is preferred (but not essential)
Responsibilities:
1. Culinary Leadership:
2. Oversee the entire sushi preparation process, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
3. Execute and ensure sushi menu items are being followed.
4. Maintain a keen understanding of culinary trends and incorporate them into the menu.
5. Team Management:
6. Lead, train, and motivate kiosk staff to achieve optimal performance.
7. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
8. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
9. Operations Management:
10. Take ownership of daily kiosk operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
11. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock.
12. Implement and enforce health and safety standards in the kitchen.
13. Customer Experience:
14. Ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional food quality and service.
15. Address customer feedback and implement improvements as needed.
16. Work closely with staff to enhance overall customer experience.
17. Financial Management:
18. Control food costs through effective inventory management and portion control.
19. Collaborate with the management team to set and achieve financial targets.
20. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
21. Production Development:
22. Collaborate with the management team to update the sushi menu.
23. Experiment with new techniques to keep the products fresh and appealing.
24. Monitor sales and customer preferences to inform production adjustments.
Qualifications:
* 2-3 years minimum of experience as a chef/manager with a focus on food preparation.
* 1-2 years of experience in sushi preparation
* Proven leadership experience in a culinary setting.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* Creativity and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

Salary: £25000-£29000 (based on experience)
Expected hours: 35-40 per week
Schedule:
* 6-10 hour shift
* Day shift, must be available on weekends.
* Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to commute across all our sites in South East Kent.
