Clinical Leader – Pre Operative Assessment
Location: Derby Hospital. Employment: Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week. Salary: up to £48,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Clinical Leader to help build a healthier nation. The role requires registration with the appropriate governing body and appropriate qualifications and experience, including NMC. Strong clinical leadership to lead a team towards a shared vision, promote innovation and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the efficient running of the pre‑operative assessment department and support or deputise for the Clinical Head of Department (as required).
* Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all members of the MDT, consultants and patients.
* Display enthusiasm and a strong “can do” attitude that reflects a desire to succeed.
* Co‑ordinate activity and be responsible for patient care and safety.
* Be instrumental to the patient experience, ensuring seamless, personalised care.
* Apply knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery.
* Champion a supportive, enabling working culture on the ward, promoting staff safety and education.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered with the relevant governing body.
* Qualified and experienced, including NMC registration.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
* Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth and effective department.
