About the Role of a 1-1 Year 3 Assistant:
We’re looking for someone special to support one of our brilliant Year 3 pupils who needs a bit of extra help to thrive. You’ll work closely with our class teacher to create moments of magic—whether it’s cracking tricky maths, conquering reading challenges, or celebrating the small wins that mean the world.
What You’ll Be Doing as a 1-1 Year 3 Assistant:
1. Supporting a fantastic Year 3 pupil on a 1:1 basis.
2. Helping them learn, grow, and feel confident in the classroom.
3. Getting creative with activities and resources.
4. Encouraging independence, resilience, and smiles!
5. Working with the class teacher and SENCO to put helpful strategies in place.
6. Being that steady, supportive presence for a child who really benefits from it.
We’re Looking For Someone who is:
7. Friendly, caring, and full of enthusiasm.
8. Great at building positive relationships with children.
9. Able to stay calm, patient, and upbeat (even on rainy playground days!).
10. Happy to learn new things and give new ideas a go.
11. Experienced in working with children or keen to grow in the role.
