The Vacancy
Malaria Consortium is recruiting a Project Officer to join our team in Ethiopia. The role will be based within South Ethiopia, Wolaita zone, in 2 districts.
The postholder will be responsible for providing technical support, coordination, and implementation of all project activities in their respective project zone and districts.
Qualifications and Experience
* Master's in Field Epidemiology, MPH, or related health disciplines
* At least 5 years’ experience working on Malaria Surveillance and outbreak emergency response
* Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
* Familiarity with the Ethiopian health system
* Experience working with government and non-government partners to deliver project objectives
* A qualification in public health and project management
* Knowledge of malaria elimination strategies, emergency response, prevention, and control policies
* Experience designing and implementing behaviour change communication activities
* Experience working in community-based activities
* Flexible and adaptable to various working conditions
* Capable of working with tight timelines
* Work experience in South Ethiopia is preferable
