This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift pattern from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Applications are invited for the role of Audio Typist within the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department, based at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive typing support to Orthopaedic Consultants, Nurse Specialists, ESPs, and junior staff, while supporting the secretarial team. Occasional assistance with other administrative tasks may be required. The role demands high accuracy, confidentiality, initiative, and effective workload management. Candidates should possess a Secretarial Studies certificate, advanced keyboard skills, proficiency in English and medical terminology, and knowledge of PC Office software.
The essential requirements include:
* Advanced keyboard skills and experience with audio typing systems
* Proven proficiency in English
* The ability to work independently and use initiative
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills
* Effective communication with diverse professionals
Desirable qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology, awareness of Trust policies, and familiarity with patient administration systems.
