What you’ll be doing:
Provide subject matter expertise into the Operations function in at least one technical area (e.g. Mechanical Build to Print, Special Processes, PCB assembly, Electro-Mechanical Assembly… etc)
Lead investigations into non-conforming material originating from the supply chain
Identifying areas for improvements with internal and external processes, creating the business case for change
Developing, maintaining and enhancing manufacturing processes
Supporting the assessment of supplier capability for new sources
Working pro-actively with new suppliers to ensure they can robustly meet our technical requirements and their manufacturing processes are low-risk
Working in conjunction with procurement and programme teams to proactively identify and address supply chain technical risks and drive continuous improvement activities
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Manufacturing/ Quality engineering experience
Effective stakeholder management and collaboration
The ability to support investigations including root cause analysis methodologies
Ability to constructively challenge and drive an improvement-based culture
Desirable:
Aerospace or automotive experience
Knowledge of business improvement techniques
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Supply Chain Engineer within our Electronic Systems Business. This is an opportunity to manage a technically oriented team focused on developing supplier capability and technical trouble-shooting as part of the wider procurement organisation.
As a Technical Supply Chain Engineer you will be a key person in the design and development of avionic products, supporting the delivery of multiple complex manufacturing supply projects. Working closely with global suppliers and key stakeholders to understand capability, process issues and solving problems with our supply chain.
