What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our Pre-Operative Assessment team, with a salary up to £31,097.76 depending on experience.
This is a Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week role with the earliest shifts starting at 08:00 and the latest shifts finishing at 18:00.

The Pre-Operative Assessment Department is responsible for safely pre-assessing all patients at Cleveland Clinic London that will be undergoing surgery or some diagnostic procedures. The POA HCA will work closely with the POA coordinator and the nursing team to assist in the telephone triage of patients and work clinically with the nursing team to complete necessary pre-operative tests.
What will your duties include:
1. Responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the directions and supervision of trained nursing caregiver.
2. Develop competence in carrying out tasks such as patient hygiene, nutritional requirements, patient observations, electrocardiograms (ECGs), performing Blood Gas tests, and others as required.
3. Use computer system (EPIC and Windows) to access and update patient records.
4. Assist clinical caregivers in transporting patients using different methods of transportation – e.g. trolleys, beds.
5. Expectation to rotate between areas as directed by the nurse manager.
What we need from you:
6. Experience working in a pre-op setting.
7. Care Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Care & Social Care.
8. BLS provider course completed and qualification in required upon hire, or within 3 months of hire.
9. Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field.
10. Good communication and organisational skills
