The successful candidates will deliver a professional Housing Options and Homelessness Service, providing advice, support, and guidance to individuals and families at risk of homelessness. You will help ensure the Council fulfils its statutory duties under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, taking a person-centred and strength-based approach to support people into sustainable accommodation. Key Responsibilities Identify and address causes of potential homelessness, offering tailored prevention solutions. Conduct homelessness investigations and make recommendations to the Housing Advice Co-ordinator. Provide advice and advocacy, including negotiating with landlords, families, and lenders, and liaising with partner agencies. Attend and occasionally deputise at multi-agency meetings (e.g. Child in Need, MAPPA, MARAC, ASB). Manage casework, including assessments, personalised housing plans, and decision letters.
