We are looking for an Electro Mechanical Field Service Engineer, initially focusing on Healthcare Ultrasound and Ophthalmology, primarily working from a home base within a 20-mile radius of Enfield. The role covers a customer base within the M25, including Central London and the South East of England. Occasional national and European travel may be required.

The role involves installation, servicing, moves & changes, upgrades, modifications, and repairs of Medical and Ophthalmic equipment. The successful candidate will be trained to handle similar tasks on other relevant equipment outside of the initial sectors. The work involves complex systems requiring quick learning, troubleshooting, and providing effective solutions. Customer and engineer training may also be part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform installation, servicing, moves & changes, upgrades, modifications, and repairs for customers.
* Provide professional, responsive, and proactive customer service.
* Problem-solve responsibly and methodically, maintaining excellent customer liaison.
* Communicate effectively with managers, team leaders, and colleagues.
* Be flexible to work in other UK regions with notice.
* Attend sites in city locations, sometimes using public transport.
* Complete necessary training programs.
* Follow call closure procedures.
* Accurately complete paperwork and update company systems promptly.
* Maintain vehicle stock inventory.
* Manage customer returns and disposal of equipment following ISO and WEEE procedures.
* Ensure safe working practices per Health & Safety Acts.
* Act in the best interests of the business and customers.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in a medical-related engineering environment is beneficial.
* Strong core engineering skills and knowledge.
* Electrical, electronic, and software engineering experience.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Professional appearance and punctuality.
* Good communication skills.
* Responsive to customer needs.
Additional Requirements:
* Current valid passport or ability to obtain one immediately.
* Willingness to work early starts or late finishes, with a core 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (additional 9 hours).
