Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Administrator to join our family run team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires proficiency in accounting software, with a focus on Sage. The Account Administrator will ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Duties

* Manage accounts payable by processing invoices and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software such as Sage.
* Must be able to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
* Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and support budgeting processes.
* Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing documents and maintaining organised records.
* Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders regarding account status and payment issues.
* Will be tasked with other admin jobs ie PCN and vehicle taxing.

Requirements

* Proven experience in an accounting or administrative role, preferably as an Account Administrator or similar position.
* Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and colleagues.
