About Civic Voice
We work to engage communities in 'making places better - together'. As the charity enters an exciting new chapter, we are seeking additional board trustees with specific backgrounds and skills.
What difference will you make?
Too often, the built environment fails to consider the real needs of communities, families, individuals, and natural ecosystems. Civic Voice supports local civic societies in England, promoting better design, community engagement, and influencing decision-makers at regional and national levels.
What are we looking for?
We are especially looking for trustees with skills in:
* Business continuity and risk management
* Charity law and regulation
* Company law and regulation
* Legal expertise related to charities
* Cyber protection and data security
* Conflict management and resolution
* Policy and procedure development
* Safeguarding
* Business management
* Campaigning, influencing, and advocacy
* Marketing and communications
* Change management
* Strategic or business planning
* Financial management and accounting (supporting a new treasurer)
We especially welcome applications from underrepresented groups, including women, young people, and ethnic minorities, to ensure diverse perspectives in our decision-making.
What will you be doing?
As a trustee, you will help develop strategies to enhance engagement with local civic societies, support their growth, and secure necessary funding. This is an exciting opportunity to influence civic development across England, working with a new CEO and a revitalized board.
