Elite Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) - Northampton
Location: Northampton
Compensation: £43,260 / year (Realistic earning potential of £50K-£55K depending on location)
Hours: 40 hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm; Out-of-hours services 6am – 8am, 5pm – 8pm
Role Description
We’re looking for talented and ambitious engineers to join our rapidly growing business. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow our commercial metering capability. You will be upskilled to deliver three phase metering, operate at medium pressure, assist customers with debt resolution visits, and move between the engineer role and Warrant Officer when required (never solo).
This role is primarily in the commercial sector and focuses on delivering quality work with safety as a priority. If you’re an engineer who can build strong customer relationships, you have a home with us.
Key Responsibilities
* A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to participate in a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes
* Safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems
* Undertake friendly debt resolution visits with the aim to install a Smart Meter and collect outstanding debt (dedicated back-office support available)
* Undertake Warrant Officer visits to resolve debt (with back-office support)

Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
* Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
* Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
* Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
Desirable:
* MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
* Current Transformer (CT)
* Three Phase
* REGT1-Medium Pressure
Additional Requirements:
* UK Driving Licence
* Pass a colour blindness test
* Pass a DBS check
