We are seeking a cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for good hospitality and an understanding of kitchen operations.
The role is for a minimum of 30 hours per week, 4 or 5 days out of 7, which will include some weekend work.
The role will be made up of a range of shifts and so will suit someone with flexibility. Shifts will include or, and may on some days be a split shift including both of these options.
There may be occassions where overtime is available.
Responsibilities and qualities required
* Prepare and cook dishes for our buffet across breakfast and lunch from a predetermined menu.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
* Ensure an efficient way of working to ensure food is available to fit our service times.
* Be able to work at speed and using your own initiative, whilst taking direction from the catering manager.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste.
* Some assistance may be required with kitchen porter and other kitchen duties.
* Correctly storing food and accepting deliveries.
* Taking food temperatures and dealing with dietary requirements.
