What you'll do: NDT Trainee Technician - To undertake Dye Pen inspection process, working to achieve L2 Certification. - The role will eventually include authority and responsibility for determining acceptance of product and all relevant safety and process checks. - Candidate will be required to sit external training and examinations Essential Functions: - Learn to process casting, weldments and wrought products and eventually after training sentence parts. - Operate Dye Penetrant Line in accordance with techniques under supervision and eventually after training independently process and sentence parts. - Visual inspection of parts - Work on own initiative and resolve any issues or problems to company specific procedures - To ensure safe working to comply with EHS standards - Assist in preparation for Customer visits, Regulatory Audits and prompt follow-up of resulting actions - Adopting and deploying EATON LEAN systems using the prescribed ELSS tools - Attend relevant reviews and meetings - Ensure quality levels are maintained to Eaton standards. - Asist in reductions of Process control variations within processes. - Asist in Cost reduction initiatives. Qualifications: Skills: - Training will be provided on all aspects of the role - Knowledge of NDT processes advantageous. - Knowledge of inspection processes advantageous - Knowledge of special processes preferred - Experience of working in a similarly physically demanding environment - Proven attention to detail - Demonstrable ability / experience of working to procedures - Demonstrated logical thinking - EN 4179 in Dye Pen is advantageous
