Overview
The Botanist is recruiting a Designate Sous Chef to support our kitchens across multiple sites. Usual places of work will include Watford, Reading, Marlow and London. Flexibility to travel between these sites is essential. Travel outside of your home site will be reimbursed or booked in advance.
Responsibilities
* As a Designate Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in supporting our kitchens across multiple sites, stepping in where needed to ensure our kitchens run smoothly, profitably, and with energy.
* You’ll lead by example, creating a safe, fun, and exciting environment that brings out the best in every team.
* You’ll oversee day-to-day operations including stock control, rota management, food safety and hygiene, while ensuring consistency across the board.
* You’ll work closely with Head Chefs and General Managers, supporting training, standards and kitchen development, as well as playing a vital role in new openings and temporary cover when required.
* Your time will be split between leading service, implementing systems and procedures, and developing kitchen teams to deliver the high standards The Botanist is known for.
