Responsibilities
* Provide clinical microbiology and infection prevention services across the Northern Care Alliance, including duties at The Royal Oldham Hospital.
* Deliver a clinical infection service to Salford.
* Complement and develop existing services through specialist knowledge and expertise in Clinical Microbiology.
* Participate in initial and annual review of duties with the Clinical Director of Infection Sciences.
* Execute direct clinical care and supporting activities as agreed with colleagues, with flexibility across the NCA.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified and registered with the GMC, or within six months of obtaining CCT in medical microbiology (or medical microbiology and infectious diseases).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to influence senior clinical and management roles.
* Experience implementing innovation and service development.
* Experience writing protocols and guidelines.
* Track record of implementing change and a strong desire to improve and succeed.
