We have an exciting opportunity for a career-minded individual to join our Camberley team as an Electrical and Mechanical Technician. Your role will be to perform a range of assigned front-line maintenance/operational activities on our sewage pumping stations in Camberley, Surrey. This will include planned and preventative maintenance of sewage pumping stations to support the operation of our assets.On a day-to-day basis, you will receive your “workload” and will also be answering emergency alarms. You will be working as part of a team but may also be alone, which highlights the importance of our high health and safety standards.The role also requires you to take part in a 1 week in every 6 weeks out-of-hours emergency standby rota, for which you receive additional payments.Base Location - Camberley - GU15 3YL.38 hours per week, Monday-Friday.7:30 am -3:36 pm.What you should bring to the role as a Mechanical & Electrical Technician


* ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering.
* A valid driving license is essential.
* Previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, with an 18th Edition qualification beneficial.
* Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial.
* Be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems, ideally working in a “true multi-skilled” capacity.

* Be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them, you need to be very disciplined, have the desire to learn from those around you and have a can-do attitude. This role can be demanding at times, but very rewarding too.
* Take Ownership of responding quickly to faults, being curious to understand the problem fully, and identifying the best solution to resolve it the first time.
* Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the team.
* Teamwork – We are one team, and our end goals are the same.
* Proactive – take the lead on recommendations and improvements around the site and communicate effectively.
* Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures.
* Knowledge and awareness of health and safety standards.

* Offering base salary up to £39,000 per annum plus a standby & overtime opportunity. increasing earnings by a potential £8,000 - £10,000.
* 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
