Job Description

Are you an experienced residential property professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a proactive and organised Conveyancing Assistant to support our fee earners in delivering a first-class legal service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist fee earners with the management of purchase, sale, remortgage, and transfer of equity files (both freehold and leasehold) through effective file management.
* Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure updates are timely, queries are dealt with efficiently, and appropriate legal matters are flagged to the fee earner.
* Handle incoming calls, take instructions, conduct telephone and written enquiries, and carry out follow-up actions as required.
* Provide full administrative support including collating, sending, and checking documentation with all parties involved in transactions.
* Ensure compliance with the firm’s policies, procedures, and legal obligations in all file handling.
* Process incoming and outgoing post for the department, ensuring all documentation from third parties is logged and actioned

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience within the residential property sector (e.g., conveyancing, estate agency, IFA, or mortgage brokerage)
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high standard of English.
* Experience working in a legal or property-related environment.
* Confident working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organisational skills.
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with email, portals, and legal case management systems.
* A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and escalate concerns where necessary.
* A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and delivering excellent client service.
