Overview
Junior Field Service Engineer - Water Treatment Equipment
* Salary range: £30k to £40k DOE
* Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension, healthcare, and additional benefits
* Location: Field-based (UK) - Slough
* Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Responsibilities
* Assisting in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of water treatment systems, including filtration, softening, dealkalisation, RO/membrane systems, chemical dosing skids, and control equipment (pH, conductivity, chlorine, flow meters)
* Supporting planned maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and emergency callouts, helping diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or chemical dosing issues
* Producing accurate service reports, including recommendations for system improvements or upgrades
* Following all company and client health & safety protocols, ensuring safe working practices at all times
Qualifications
You don't need direct water treatment experience—just the right mindset and a technical foundation. Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:
* Technical Background
* Experience in service, maintenance, or engineering (water treatment ideal but not essential)
* Familiarity with pumps, valves, pipework, dosing/control equipment, or industrial process systems
* Mechanical or electrical fault‑finding ability
Skills & Attributes
* Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Understanding of health & safety practices (training can be provided)
Other Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Willingness to travel as part of the field‑based role
