Team: Volunteering Best Practice
Location: Home based with occasional travel for meetings
Work pattern: 30 hours per week, flexible working arrangements welcome
Salary: Up to £23,542.42 per year (£27,466.16 FTE)

Responsibilities of our Volunteering Team Assistant:
* play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the Volunteering Development team activities within the People and Culture Directorate
* lead on recruitment of volunteers into the People & Culture Directorate, supporting a great volunteer experience
* manage the central volunteer recognition scheme administration and oversight of recognition resources
* take the lead role in the administration activities around volunteer induction/volunteer management resources
About the Volunteering Best Practice team:
* provides support, guidance and advice to colleagues across the charity on all aspects of volunteer management and engagement
* supports great volunteer experiences that make a positive impact on cats
* the team consists of a Volunteering Strategic Lead, Volunteering Team Manager - Best Practice, Volunteering Marketing and Recruitment Manager, Volunteering Management and Leadership Specialist, Volunteering Best Practice Partners and Volunteering Systems and Information Officer
What we’re looking for in our Volunteering Team Assistant:
* experience of providing administrative support in a team environment
* experience of being part of projects and project management
* knowledge of the charity sector and the issues impacting volunteering
* confident in the use of IT programmes such as Microsoft Teams, MS Office, and customer-journey related tools
* proactive in seeking opportunities to contribute to the team and improve processes
* strong attention to detail
