Job Description:
We are looking for a 3-8 PQE Associate / Senior Associate to join our thriving Construction practice. The team are currently based across our offices in Cardiff, Southampton and Oxford but we are also happy to consider interest from experienced construction lawyers who may prefer to work out of one of our other offices in Reading or London. Many of the team work on both contentious and non-contentious matters and we are keen to encourage people to develop a wide skill set. With our business wins presently trending towards challenging, high-profile work on the transactional side you should ideally be very familiar with JCT and NEC contracts from a purely construction and property development perspective. Our ideal candidate will be keen to work and develop their project expertise across large infrastructure, rail and green energy projects.
We support hybrid working, typically with 2-3 days flexible office attendance, according to business need.
Skills / Experience Required
We are interested in candidates with high calibre construction experience acquired at a leading national, regional or City law firm. Candidates with in-house legal experience at major contractor, consultant or public bodies will also be valued highly.
* 3-8 PQE
* Confident and personable
* Very familiar with JCT and NEC
* Keen to develop cross team project experience.
* Strong technical competence and intellectual ability
* Good communication skills (verbal and written)
* A team player with leadership potential
Please apply to arrange a call in confidence to discuss.
