Were looking for a dedicated Ward Sister to manage a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants within our In-Patient Unit working alongside our band 6 charge nurses to support our IPU Ward at our Glasgow Hospice. Youll play a key role in delivering and coordinating high-quality, person-centred palliative care, while supporting the Nurse Manager in fostering a positive and professional working environment.
In this pivotal role, youll:
1. Provide clinical leadership and supervision
2. Support the development of junior staff
3. Contribute to local and national quality improvement initiatives
4. Maintain a significant clinical caseload

What were looking for:
5. Registered Nurse with active NMC registration
6. Proven experience at Band 5 level in caring for patients with specialist palliative care needs (hospice, hospital, or community settings)
7. Up-to-date knowledge of current palliative care practices
8. A compassionate, person-centred approach to care
