AW Surgeries is looking to recruit a relief cleaner to join the team.
We are seeking an experienced cleaner who will be able to cover all annual leave and sickness absences through out the year. The working hours will be between 6pm - 8pm per shift. It is expected that that there will be a minimum of 30 weeks cover required ( not including sickness absences)
Main duties of the job
Toensure that the standard of cleanliness within the organisation is implementedand maintained, ensuring a clean environment forpatient care.
A schedule of cleaning has been added to each area throughout theorganisation. The cleaner is to maintain detailed records of activity forregular and robust cleaning audits.
To correctly dispose of waste in accordance with the Waste Management Policy, whilstalso considering the organisations obligations as detailed within the Environmental and SustainabilityPolicy.
To maintain good communications with both the Cleaning Manager andthe Practice Manager.

Job responsibilities
Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the cleaner.
a. To maintain cleaning standards using therecognised quality control procedures
b. For auditing purposes, to maintainrobust cleaning records to detail activity
c. To follow the cleaning schedule
d. To ensure that the correct cleaningmethods are observed
e. To use cleaning equipment in a safe andeffective manner, adhering to manufacturers instructions
f. To replenish all consumable items (handtowels, toilet roll, etc.) as required
g. To remove general waste in accordancewith the Waste Management Policy and in consideration of theorganisations Environmental and Sustainability Policy
h. To always adhere to thecolour coding system for cleaning equipment, seeking appropriate guidance ifrequired
i. To ensure all cleaningmaterials are stored in a safe and secure manner, adhering to COSHH, HASAW andother legislative acts and guidance
j. To undertake legionella flushing of systemswithin the organisation
k. To maintaincommunication and report any faulty equipment or defects to the Deputy PracticeManager as soon as practically possible
l. To participate in cleanliness audits and follow audit action plans torectify any identified areas for improvement
