Job Title: Industry Placement Co-ordinator
In this role, you will support the development and delivery of the T Level Work Placement course, working closely with the Assistant Area Manager for Computing. Your duties include onboarding employers, coordinating student placements, monitoring progress, and supporting students through pre-placement induction, addressing practicalities such as travel, welfare, and safeguarding. You will also act as a professional liaison with employers, representing the College and referring students to additional college services.
About The Role
* Identify, recruit, and onboard local employers for the T Level Work Placement Programme and other opportunities.
* Develop resources with Curriculum Leaders to support placement processes, ensuring documentation is complete.
* Assess and monitor placement risks, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Welfare.
* Organise work placement opportunities and communicate expectations to employers and students.
* Provide pre-placement advice, helping students understand objectives and workplace expectations.
* Assist students in developing employability skills and preparing for placements.
* Maintain communication with students and employers during placements, addressing issues as they arise.
* Keep accurate records of placement progress, complying with funding and awarding body requirements.
* Update employer information in the CRM system and share relevant details internally.
* Promote college services to employers and collaborate with college teams to meet employer needs.
Essential Qualifications
* Educated to Level 3 Standard or Equivalent, preferably in IT/Computing. Experience working with young people is desirable.
Essential Experience
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with students and employers.
* Good knowledge of IT terminology and practices within the IT/Computing industry.
