Learning Support Assistant – Post-16 College – Barking & Dagenham • From £95/day • Post-16 • Barking & Dagenham • Full-Time • Long-Term
Responsibilities
* Supporting young adults with learning difficulties and additional needs in lessons and vocational activities.
* Encouraging independence in areas such as travel training, daily living skills and workplace preparation.
* Assisting tutors to deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets.
* Supporting social and emotional development through mentoring and positive relationships.
What we’re looking for
* Experience supporting young people with SEND (16+ experience is a bonus but not essential).
* A caring, patient and encouraging personality.
* Flexibility and adaptability to support across a wide range of subjects and needs.
* Interest in life skills, vocational pathways or preparing young people for adulthood.
