Overview
The Community Vaccination Service is seeking an experienced Nurse to deliver the Covid vaccination programme to housebound patients and care home residents across Dorset, and to support the School Age Immunisation team as required.
Main Duties
* Full‑time position of 37.5 hours per week with flexible working to meet service needs.
* Administer vaccines in care homes and patient homes, community clinics and schools.
* Collect vaccines and equipment from vaccine bases.
* Triage of consent forms.
* Provide expert knowledge to service users.
* Engage with the community.
Employment Requirements
* Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (cost covered by the Trust).
* Visa sponsorship is not available – applicants must hold the right to work in the UK.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level.
* Ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively.
* Membership of the relevant Professional Body.
* Supervised experience gained during clinical placements.
* Post‑qualifying experience.
Technical & Other Skills
* Ability to use IT systems.
Travel
* Subject to the Equality Act, able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business.
Personal Qualities
* Excellent communication at all organisational levels.
* Ability to use own initiative within sphere of authority.
Desirable
* Learning and assessing in practice qualification.

Salary
£32,073 to £39,043 a year (pro rata for part‑time)
