Job Title: Lunchtime Early Years Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Lunchtime)
Salary: Grade D Scale Point 6-11
Working Pattern: 11.30am-1pm (Monday-Friday) Term Time
Working Hours: 7.5 hours Teaching Assistant extra hours may be available as and when required.
Contract Type: Permanent

The Role
Senior Staff and Trustees invite applications from a dedicated and hardworking early years teaching assistant.
The main purpose of the job involves providing effective support for teaching and learning in nursery and overseeing the safety, welfare and good conduct of nursery pupils.
This includes promoting and modelling good behaviour, forming positive relationships with pupils and staff. The aim being to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children.
About you
We are looking for a teaching assistant who has:
* High expectations of all pupils; respect for their social, cultural, linguistic, religious and ethnic background and a commitment to their safety, welfare and good conduct
* Awareness of safeguarding principles and safe working practices.
* Experience of working in an Early Years setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of children’s development in EYFS.
* The ability to support the teacher in delivering and evaluating learning activities to ensure effective teaching and learning. Ability to give feedback in a constructive manner.
* A DFE recognised Early Years Qualification.
* GCSE Mathematics and English qualification Grades A-C or 9-4 or the equivalent

* Be committed to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
* Recognise when pupils are in danger of risk or harm and know what actions to take to protect them, in accordance with school procedure.
