Outreach Mentor – Herefordshire Pay: £80–£100 per day Hours: 9am–2pm (term time only) We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist alternative provision in Herefordshire that supports young people and adults with additional needs through mentoring and creative learning. They are seeking SEN Mentors who can build strong relationships, provide structured support, and help individuals work towards their EHCP targets. Full training will be provided, including planning, assessment, and reporting. This provision operates outside of a traditional school setting, using community-based environments to encourage engagement, confidence, and personal development. Key responsibilities: * Deliver mentoring sessions and learning activities * Plan and track progress against EHCP outcomes * Build positive, trusting relationships * Work collaboratively within a supportive team Essential requirements: * NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent) * Experience supporting individuals (e.g. education, coaching, mentoring) * Ability to plan activities for individuals or groups * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Full UK driving licence with business insurance Desirable: * Experience supporting EHCP targets * Understanding of safeguarding * A hobby or practical skill you can bring into mentoring (e.g. sport, music, cooking) The provision is looking for individuals who demonstrate strong values around care, support, and guidance, and who are committed to making a positive impact.
