Job Description
Are you passionate about continuous improvement and challenging the status quo? This placement offers an opportunity to apply Lean practices on the AOS to the A320 and A350 production lines, working with experienced change management professionals across Safety, Quality, Logistics, Programme Planning, and Manufacturing Engineering.
What you will be doing
* Conduct detailed Value Stream Analysis with operational and functional teams to improve product flow in the factory.
* Facilitate continuous improvement activities such as Kaizens to identify and remove waste from the industrial system.
* Coach operational and functional leaders to drive standards into the way we work.
Utilising internationally recognised Lean practices within the AOS department, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive change in an established wing manufacturing facility. You may work autonomously as a Change Agent within a defined business area while gaining exposure to various product lines.

Requirements
Open to Undergraduates for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.
* CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability for the role.
* Studying towards a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or equivalent.
* Basic knowledge of Lean Management.
* Strong teamwork, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work autonomously and manage personal time and objectives.
* Customer focus with the ability to integrate into the business and manage stakeholder expectations.
Security clearance: You will be subject to a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. Depending on the role, UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control may be required.
Benefits
Salary: £23,400
Hours: 35 hours per week; Flexible working hours; Onsite working; Half-day Fridays; 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
