About the Role - Manage and optimize supply chain operations across Calibre Scientific’s UK distribution businesses, overseeing purchasing teams, forecasting, inventory, and supplier performance. This role drives working capital efficiency, improves availability of mission-critical SKUs, and supports system harmonization across locations.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage demand planning.
* Implement inventory optimization strategies.
* Monitor and improve supplier OTIF and negotiate lower MOQs.
* Lead cross-site purchasing processes and standardize buying practices.
* Coordinate with Sales, Service, and Finance to run weekly S&OP.
* Establish vendor scorecards and supplier performance reviews.
* Coach and manage a team of buyers across two sites.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
* Full UK Driving License required.
* APICS CPIM/CSCP or CIPS preferred.
Required Skills:
* Expert level in Microsoft Office, Excel (advanced), and Power BI.
* ERP experience (SAP ByDesign or SAP Business One preferred).
