About the Role of Cable Assembler
We are seeking a skilled Cable Assembler to join a fast paced production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and preparing cables to a high standard using a variety of tools and equipment. Tasks will include cable cutting, stripping, crimping, looming, and soldering, following detailed work instructions and maintaining strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Cut, strip, and prepare cables according to specifications.
* Perform crimping and tinning of wires and connectors.
* Assemble cable looms using basic loom boards.
* Operate cut-and-strip machines and other relevant equipment.
* Solder cables and ensure high-quality terminations.
* Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with IPC-A-620 standards where applicable.
* Accurately maintain and update job history on all route cards for tasks completed.
* Report any issues that could impact delivery schedules or product quality.
* Comply with all Health & Safety, housekeeping, quality, and environmental policies.
