Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring efficient movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
* Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system.
* Perform regular inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
* Handle materials with care during shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
* Assist in maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, moving products safely throughout the warehouse.
Skills
* Proficient in operating forklifts with a valid forklift licence.
* Strong understanding of materials handling processes and warehouse operations.
* Experience with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
* Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
* Basic mathematical skills for accurate inventory counting and record keeping.
* Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in shipping and receiving roles.
