Pay is £18-19 per hour - 50 hour week plus Annual Bonus
We are looking for an Electrician experienced in the Telecoms or Industrial Sector to join a fast-paced and collaborative family company that specialises in the installation and commissioning of Power Supply equipment for various operators. The role involves working in conjunction with other disciplines (Climbing teams, commissioners, civils) to upgrade mobile networks.
You will be part of a skilled team that prides itself on quality work and business growth, which is why they need an additional team member.
You get paid door to door, so from the moment you sit in your company vehicle, you are being paid. The pay is £18-19 per hour, and with a 50-hour week, this amounts to £46,800 to £49,400 annually.
Most work will be within an hour of Stockport, with occasional opportunities to work away on special projects.
Requirements include experience within the Mobile Telecommunications industry as an Electrician working on AC and DC systems, and standard site certifications such as Working at Height, Radio Frequency awareness, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, and Manual Handling (training provided).
Your responsibilities will include:
* Electrical installation work (AC and DC) compliant with BS7671, including new installations and modifications to existing ones.
* Completion of inspection and testing of installations, producing test results, and understanding their relevance to regulations.
* Conducting site surveys (electrical).
* Completing pictures and document submissions to the office (Handover packs).
* Submitting all documentation within specified timescales.
* Assisting with other roles on site when required.
* Maintaining health & safety standards on site.
Ideal candidates will have:
* Understanding of BS 7671 Electricity at Work Regulations, and relevant codes of practice.
* Knowledge of inspection, testing, verification, certification, and reporting procedures for electrical work.
* Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds 2365).
* City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent (recommended).
* Current edition of BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations.
* Basic computer and word processing skills.
* A full driving license.
* Willingness to work away from home occasionally.
* Flexibility for occasional weekend work.
