Indirect Category Buyer – Process Equipment

What you’ll do…
As an Indirect Category Buyer, you will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of equipment sourcing, overseeing the procurement of services across two key areas – Gigafactory and Test Facility. You will coordinate closely with cross-functional stakeholders/vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment sourcing and delivery meeting the cost & time targets.
Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you will:
* Efficiently manage coordination between vendors and internal stakeholders.
* Maintain clear communication and alignment with project timelines and requirements.
* Proactively address risks and issues to ensure smooth delivery of equipment sourcing.
* Streamline the approach to ensure the project benefits from both existing commitments and new opportunities for sourcing.

Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. The UK business headquarters is in the Midlands and we are currently building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.
The team you’ll join…
You will be joining a dynamic group of driven individuals, specializing across many indirect and direct procurement specialisms. Being a relatively new department, you’ll play a critical part in creating purchasing and supply chain processes and a key driver of efficiency, cost-saving, and sustainability within the organization.
What you’ll bring…
* Proven work experience in Indirect Sourcing, ideally in manufacturing, construction, energy or similar industries.
* Ability to prepare comprehensive ITT packages: develop Expression of Interest (EOI) Pre-Qualification requests, conduct EOI / PQQ's, evaluate EOI / PQQ responses.
* Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
* Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) calculation and presentation.
* Expedite the payments- aligning with the GRN & Accounts payable team.
* Analytical, numerate with strong MS skills, especially Excel.
