This post is funded for the 2026/27 academic year onwards, so the successful candidate would not be expected to commence in post prior to August 2026. The School of Creative Industries at Kingston College is seeking a dynamic, proactive, highly organised and effective course leader to drive forward the Level 3 aspect in Digital Art, Animation and Games Design.
Responsibilities
* Produce schemes of work and monitor their delivery.
* Supervise assessment and provide internal verification; liaise with external verifiers/moderators as required.
* Co-ordinate the review and evaluation of courses.
* Teach and create tutorials on software and hardware including Autodesk Maya, Blender, 3D Studio Max, a range of Game Engines, and the Adobe suite (After Effects, Animate, InDesign, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator).
* Utilise 3D printers, green screens, HD video/still cameras, and motion-capture; VR experience is preferable.
Qualifications and Experience
* Hold relevant qualifications to degree level or higher.
* Hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).
* Have recent and relevant continuous professional development activity and a strong record in delivering high-quality learning programmes with demonstrably good outcomes.
* Demonstrate an understanding of effective evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment in the field.
* Have experience monitoring and supporting at-risk learners to achieve or exceed potential; be hardworking, flexible, and have high personal standards with good planning, preparation, organisational and administrative skills.
Salary, Benefits and Conditions
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a result of the annual cost of living review implemented in the new academic year.
