Be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking Planning department, where your contributions directly impact our supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Reports To: Senior Planner
You'll work closely with the Senior Planner, gaining valuable experience and support while helping to shape our planning strategy.
Location: Anwick
Based at our Anwick site, you'll enjoy a dynamic work environment where teamwork and innovation are at the heart of everything we do.
Duties & Responsibilities
* To have knowledge of all requirements of supply chain – from agriculture to customer.
* Contribute to the Planning department by developing your skills in line with MP values.
* Produce daily plans and schedules tailored to factory department needs:
* RTC
* Primary
* Whole Birds (including GUI control for accurate bird supply)
* Assist in creating mid-term plans and schedules to forecast site requirements.
* Monitor ingredient, flesh, and packaging stocks to ensure 100% Customer Service Level (CSL).
* Liaise with Purchasing to ensure timely and accurate resource supply.
* Generate short- and medium-term sales forecasts, adjusting based on actual sales.
* Collaborate with Senior Planner, Planning Manager, and Central Category Planning to resolve capacity issues.
* Communicate effectively with all sites and departments including Sales, Purchasing, Commercial, Distribution, and Technical.
* Contribute to new product and specification reviews, especially regarding bird availability and production impact.
* Undertake relevant projects or investigations as required.
* Support continuous improvement within the department and site.
* Provide team cover during absences.
